Dyslexia Therapy Program (grades 1-12)

This comprehensive program is designed to provide remediation in developmental reading disorders, Dysgraphia, disorders of written language, and language learning disabilities based on a structured, systematic, cumulative, and multisensory approach.
Upon initial evaluation, a Student Intervention Plan (SIP) is customized based on his or her identified needs and goals. This intervention will start at the child’s readiness level and gradually increase in difficulty until the student reaches the expected level of reading and writing proficiency.

Instruction in this program includes most or all of the following components based on the assessment results:


  • auditory processing skills
  • visual processing skills
  • phonological awareness
  • listening comprehension
  • oral language development
  • multisensory, systematic, sequential, and cumulative alphabetic-phonics instruction
  • regular word decoding and sight-word learning
  • reading fluency practice
  • social-emotional development activities
  • cognitive training for memory, attention, reasoning skills, and processing speed
  • word finding skills
  • visual-motor integration
  • handwriting development
  • spelling practice
  • grammar introduction and practice
  • written expression at a sentence, paragraph, and composition level
  • capitalization, punctuation, conventions
  • reading comprehension at the word, sentence, paragraph, and text level (once the student starts reading a reasonable amount of connected text)
  • study skills and executive function coaching
  • Brain Integration Therapy for brain-and-body connection
Small-group intervention sessions for this program are scheduled 3 or 4 days per week on days and times agreed by the school or parents and the interventionist.
This intervention program has a duration of approximately 3 years depending on the child’s progress and level of commitment to it. Students who receive instruction in small groups will be assessed and dismissed depending on their individual achievement level. This means that all of the students in a group will exit the program at different times.
Note: Our company accepts evaluations and diagnosis of Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and related disorders from school districts, psychologists, educational diagnosticians, and related certified professionals. If a formal evaluation and diagnosis on the student have not been made, our Assessment Specialist will test the child in order to identify specific language and literacy deficits and customize the intervention program. Please note that a formal evaluation is required for this particular program if the student is suspected to have Dyslexia or a related disorder.
