We believe that all children can learn; therefore, we strive to promote academic achievement through specialized instructional services in the area of language and literacy for children in preschool through 12th grade as well as intervention consulting services and student camps to assist schools in their effort to close the achievement gap of their students.
EduPartners, LLC. was founded with the struggling reader and writer in mind. Thus, as Literacy Specialists, we have defined a learner-centered scope of practice that encompasses language and literacy development, language-based learning disabilities (difficulty with the understanding and use of spoken and written language), school readiness, standards-based reading and writing instruction, and literacy assessment and intervention to bring students up to their expected academic level and prepare them to meet the demands of the 21st century workplace. In order to reach our purpose, we focus on whole-child development and enhance learning from a neurodevelopmental perspective.
Our intervention programs have been designed upon the neurodevelopmental framework established by the former Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina Medical School and Director of the university's Clinical Center for the Study of Neurodevelopment and Learning, Dr. Mel Levine. This framework consists of eight constructs that ensure optimal learning when a student has mastered them: attention, language, memory, gross-motor and fine-motor skills, visual-spatial ordering, temporal-sequential ordering, social cognition, and higher-order thinking. Our specialty centers on the identification and remediation of deficits in these areas along with subject matter instruction in literacy which are essential foundations for academic success.
As educators and interventionists, we make a difference in the lives of those we serve with our positive, caring, and nurturing attitude. Building student self-confidence is our top priority because we know they can achieve.
